Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Frutta Di Campagna by Cecilia Melanie Beresford for GBP 720.00 (€ 1,059.53). This price was achieved in the auction British & Continental Pictures including Greek Art at Sothebys in Olympia and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Cecilia Melanie Beresford have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2002 by the work Frutta di Campagna at GBP 1,292.50 (€ 2,054.08).
