Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work The little sphinx; and The favourite dress by Cecile Walton for GBP 250.00 (€ 321.11). This price was achieved in the auction The Neil Wilson Collection: A Romantic Vision at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Cecile Walton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spirit of the sea in September 2014 with an auction result of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,605.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The little sphinx; and The favourite dress von Cecile Walton für GBP 250,00 (€ 321,11) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Neil Wilson Collection: A Romantic Vision bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cecile Walton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spirit of the sea im September 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.605,56).
