Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a Jewish girl, three-quarter length, seated, wearing a velvet cloak and a decorated yarmulke, holding a scroll by Cecil van Haanen was sold in the 19th Century European Art including Ottomans and Orientalist auction at Christies in London in June 2002. The price achieved of GBP 4,700.00 (€ 7,269.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecil van Haanen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The pearl stringers in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 122,850.00 (€ 182,837.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a Jewish girl, three-quarter length, seated, wearing a velvet cloak and a decorated yarmulke, holding a scroll von Cecil van Haanen wurde im Juni 2002 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art including Ottomans and Orientalist bei Christies in London versteigert.
