Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 1,314.50 (€ 1,886.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cecil Arthur Hunt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A storm on Loch Awe, Argyllshire, which sold at auction in November 2003 for GBP 2,868.00 (€ 4,117.06).
