In July 2007 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours and Original Book Illustrations, which included the work In Piedmont near Mondovi by Cecil Arthur Hunt. The result of GBP 600.00 (€ 891.14) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Cecil Arthur Hunt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A storm on Loch Awe, Argyllshire in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 2,868.00 (€ 4,117.06).

Im Juli 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours and Original Book Illustrations durch, in der auch die Arbeit In Piedmont near Mondovi von Cecil Arthur Hunt zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 600,00 (€ 891,14) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cecil Arthur Hunt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A storm on Loch Awe, Argyllshire im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.868,00 (€ 4.117,06).
