Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Tres Mujeres en el Alhambra al atardecer by Carlos Vázquez Úbeda for USD 23,900.00 (€ 18,750.98). This price was achieved in the auction 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Carlos Vázquez Úbeda have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in July 2017 by the work Mozos de escuadra at GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,475.39).
