In December 2005 Christies in London held the auction JOHN FRANKS COLL. OF ORIGINAL WATERCOLOURS FOR VANITY FAIR, which included the work The Right Honourable Sir John Charles Dalrymple Hay, Bart, M.P. Lord of the Admiralty and Politician by Carlo Pellegrini. The result of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,741.73) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by Carlo Pellegrini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Adelboden in January 2016 with an auction result of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,365.68).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion JOHN FRANKS COLL. OF ORIGINAL WATERCOLOURS FOR VANITY FAIR durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Right Honourable Sir John Charles Dalrymple Hay, Bart, M.P. Lord of the Admiralty and Politician von Carlo Pellegrini zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.741,73) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlo Pellegrini auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Adelboden im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 7.365,68).
