Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Mr C.N. Newdegate, M.P., 'A Jesuit in disguise' Politician by Carlo Pellegrini for GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,567.56). This price was achieved in the auction JOHN FRANKS COLL. OF ORIGINAL WATERCOLOURS FOR VANITY FAIR at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Carlo Pellegrini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Adelboden in January 2016 with an auction result of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,365.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mr C.N. Newdegate, M.P., 'A Jesuit in disguise' Politician von Carlo Pellegrini für GBP 1.080,00 (€ 1.567,56) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion JOHN FRANKS COLL. OF ORIGINAL WATERCOLOURS FOR VANITY FAIR bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlo Pellegrini auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Adelboden im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 7.365,68).
