In October 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Processione di fedeli alla chiesa di Santa Maria della Pace in Milano by Carlo Canella for EUR 17,000.00. This price was achieved in the auction Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX Secolo at Il Ponte and was even below the estimate range of EUR 19,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlo Canella - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Porta Venezia con figure a passeggio, Milano, which sold at auction in May 2008 for EUR 63,200.00.
