Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Christies held the auction Old Master Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work The presentation in the temple by Carlo Caliari. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 21,641.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlo Caliari - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Penitent Magdalene In A Landscape, which sold at auction in July 2015 for GBP 47,500.00 (€ 67,339.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit The presentation in the temple von Carlo Caliari zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 21.641,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Carlo Caliari mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Penitent Magdalene In A Landscape beobachtet, die im Juli 2015 für GBP 47.500,00 (€ 67.339,05) versteigert wurde.
