Despite a disappointment, a good price for Carla Cerati
When the work Forma di dona (Female form), 1972 by Carla Cerati was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,191.19). Despite this disappointing result, Forma di dona (Female form), 1972 is the most expensive artwork by Carla Cerati that we have observed at auction so far.
