Auction result well in line with expectations
The work German the Golden Gate, Jerusalem, The Mount Of Olives Beyond by Carl Friedrich Heinrich Werner was sold in the The Orientalist Sale auction at Sothebys in London in April 2015. The price achieved of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 25,748.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Friedrich Heinrich Werner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Wailing Wall, Jerusalem in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 499,000.00 (€ 591,180.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit German the Golden Gate, Jerusalem, The Mount Of Olives Beyond von Carl Friedrich Heinrich Werner wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion The Orientalist Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 25.748,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Friedrich Heinrich Werner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Wailing Wall, Jerusalem im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 499.000,00 (€ 591.180,23).
