Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2006 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures and a Symbolist Collection with a Richard Wagner section, which included the work Crossing The Stream At The End of The Day by Carl von Bergen. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 6,945.52) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carl von Bergen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mischief By The River, which sold at auction in September 2004 for GBP 14,340.00 (€ 20,891.57).

Im Juni 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures and a Symbolist Collection with a Richard Wagner section durch, in der auch die Arbeit Crossing The Stream At The End of The Day von Carl von Bergen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 6.945,52) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Carl von Bergen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mischief By The River beobachtet, die im September 2004 für GBP 14.340,00 (€ 20.891,57) versteigert wurde.
