Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Man Ray, 1934 by Carl van Vechten for EUR 3,750.00. This price was achieved in the auction Man Ray at Sothebys in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Carl van Vechten have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2012 by the work Man Ray, 1934 at EUR 6,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Man Ray, 1934 von Carl van Vechten für EUR 3.750,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Man Ray bei Sothebys in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Carl van Vechten wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2012 die Arbeit Man Ray, 1934 mit EUR 6.250,00.
