This price was achieved in the auction Living With Art at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Carl Sprinchorn; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Winter Landscape sold at auction in September last year with the realized price of USD 8,287.50 (€ 8,471.33).
