Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 6,739.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carl Schmitz-Pleis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Damen Bildnis (Portrait Of A Woman), which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 34,000.00 (€ 23,148.15).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 6.739,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden.
