Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An Italian palace, possibly The Reggia of Portici, Naples by Carl Ludwig Hackert was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2021. The price achieved of USD 5,040.00 (€ 4,153.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carl Ludwig Hackert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A View of Lausanne, which sold at auction in October 2012 for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,324.93).

Die Arbeit An Italian palace, possibly The Reggia of Portici, Naples von Carl Ludwig Hackert kam im Januar 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.040,00 (€ 4.153,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Carl Ludwig Hackert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A View of Lausanne beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.324,93) versteigert wurde.
