It achieved a price of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,753.74), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carl Ludwig Frommel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wurzelfuß eines Feldahorns., which sold at auction in November 2015 for EUR 4,750.00.

Die Arbeit A view of Malmaison von Carl Ludwig Frommel kam im Dezember 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.753,74) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Carl Ludwig Frommel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wurzelfuß eines Feldahorns. beobachtet, die im November 2015 für EUR 4.750,00 versteigert wurde.
