Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Aftonrodnad" (Evening blush) by Carl Larsson was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in December last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 3,000,000.00 – 3,500,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 2,500,000.00 (€ 224,107.31). Admittedly, works by Carl Larsson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Syende flicka" in December 2020 with an auction result of SEK 10,200,000.00 (€ 1,015,829.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Aftonrodnad" (Evening blush) von Carl Larsson im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 3.000.000,00 – 3.500.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 2.500.000,00 (€ 224.107,31) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Larsson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Syende flicka" im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 10.200.000,00 (€ 1.015.829,93).
