Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work House by the sea. by Carl Kylberg was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in May last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 175,000.00 – 200,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 140,000.00 (€ 13,359.43). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Kylberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Segeltorkning (II)" in November 2021 with an auction result of SEK 3,300,000.00 (€ 321,901.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit House by the sea. von Carl Kylberg im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 175.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 140.000,00 (€ 13.359,43) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Kylberg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Segeltorkning (II)" im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 3.300.000,00 (€ 321.901,30).
