Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Jeanna Christina von Essen" (1754-1815) gift von Krassow. by Carl Fredrik von Breda was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 80,000.00 – 100,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 65,000.00 (€ 6,194.89). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carl Fredrik von Breda - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Carl Dreijer" (1770-1802), which sold at auction in December 2011 for SEK 180,000.00 (€ 20,174.21).
