Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work German anna Motherbig by Carl Christian Vogel von Vogelstein for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,960.84). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Carl Christian Vogel von Vogelstein have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work German junge Dame Mit Zeichengerät (Girl With A Drawing Instrument, The Countess Thekla Ludolf) in May 2011 with an auction result of GBP 79,250.00 (€ 90,622.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit German anna Motherbig von Carl Christian Vogel von Vogelstein für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.960,84) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Christian Vogel von Vogelstein auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit German junge Dame Mit Zeichengerät (Girl With A Drawing Instrument, The Countess Thekla Ludolf) im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 79.250,00 (€ 90.622,62).
