Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work A Herdsman And His Sheep On A Path Near A Stream In A Forest Landscape by Carel Lodewijk Hansen for EUR 600.00. This price was achieved in the auction OLD MASTER PICTURES AND DRAWINGS at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 700.00 – 1,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carel Lodewijk Hansen achieve.
