Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Young Lady In White Dress With Frilled Border, Clasping A Gold And Blue Embroidered Cloak To Her Chest Fastened With A Gold Chain, Her Fair Hair Dressed In Curls by Carel de Moor II was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2005. The price achieved of GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,914.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carel de Moor II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Schlafende Diana nach der Jagd. 1698. in September 2008 with an auction result of CHF 252,000.00 (€ 159,940.63).
