Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape, 1956 by Cao Datie was sold in the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale auction at Bonhams in New York in March last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,402.50 (€ 1,264.31) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Cao Datie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work White Lotus in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 106,200.00 (€ 12,406.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape, 1956 von Cao Datie wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.402,50 (€ 1.264,31) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cao Datie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit White Lotus im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 106.200,00 (€ 12.406,99).
