Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Two Hunting Dogs With Dead Game by Candido Vitali for USD 22,800.00 (€ 16,863.91). This price was achieved in the auction Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art Including Property of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Candido Vitali have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in July 2012 by the work A Still Life With A Straw Hat, Figs, Cherries And Other Fruits In A Basket; A Still Life With Flowers In A Vase, Fruits And A Dog at GBP 18,750.00 (€ 23,882.46).
