The work St. Paul by Callisto Piazza was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2007. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 20,400.00 (€ 15,088.76). Admittedly, works by Callisto Piazza have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Assumption and Coronation of the Virgin | 《聖母升天及加冕》 in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 100,800.00 (€ 112,602.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit St. Paul von Callisto Piazza kam im Juni 2007 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 20.400,00 (€ 15.088,76) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Callisto Piazza auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Assumption and Coronation of the Virgin | 《聖母升天及加冕》 im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 100.800,00 (€ 112.602,58).
