A top price for Cai Gongheng - as previously expected
The work Flowers of the twelve months by Cai Gongheng was auctioned at Bonhams in Sydney in April 2021. It changed hands for a price of AUD 7,380.00 (€ 6,134.66) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Flowers of the twelve months is the most expensive artwork by Cai Gongheng that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Flowers of the twelve months von Cai Gongheng kam im April 2021 bei Bonhams in Sydney zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 7.380,00 (€ 6.134,66) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 5.000,00 – 8.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Flowers of the twelve months das teuerste Kunstwerk von Cai Gongheng, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
