Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2012 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included this untitled work by Bruce Pearson. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of USD 875.00 (€ 710.52) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bruce Pearson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A sheet of studies of a red-throated diver; A sheet of studies of widgeon and other birds; and A sheet of studies of snipe in December 2017 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,143.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2012 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Bruce Pearson zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 875,00 (€ 710,52) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bruce Pearson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A sheet of studies of a red-throated diver; A sheet of studies of widgeon and other birds; and A sheet of studies of snipe im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.143,50).
