Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Brice Marden achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in September 2021. In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work Eagles Mere Muses sold for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 43,631.77) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Brice Marden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 11 (to Léger) in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 16,999,000.00 (€ 15,060,689.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Brice Marden erzielte im September 2021 bei Christies einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples wurde die Arbeit Eagles Mere Muses für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 43.631,77) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Brice Marden erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 11 (to Léger) im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.999.000,00 (€ 15.060.689,29).
