In July 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Beach by Brian Hagger. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,550.00 (€ 2,990.40), 70% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Brian Hagger; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Exhibition Drug Store, Lillie Road sold at auction in July this year with the realized price of GBP 3,584.00 (€ 4,181.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Beach von Brian Hagger zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.550,00 (€ 2.990,40) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Brian Hagger; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Exhibition Drug Store, Lillie Road im Juli diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 3.584,00 (€ 4.181,44).
