Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Distant Oaks by Brian Blood was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,040.00 (€ 1,668.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brian Blood - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cattle Trail at Toro Park, which sold at auction in April 2019 for USD 6,950.00 (€ 6,204.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Distant Oaks von Brian Blood kam im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.040,00 (€ 1.668,03) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Brian Blood mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cattle Trail at Toro Park beobachtet, die im April 2019 für USD 6.950,00 (€ 6.204,80) versteigert wurde.
