Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait (Afton) by Brents Carlton was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 4,480.00 (€ 4,133.22). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brents Carlton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Figure on Girder), which sold at auction in August 2021 for USD 17,812.50 (€ 15,095.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait (Afton) von Brents Carlton kam im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 4.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 4.480,00 (€ 4.133,22) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Brents Carlton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Figure on Girder) beobachtet, die im August 2021 für USD 17.812,50 (€ 15.095,34) versteigert wurde.
