In October 2021 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Rojo retondo by Bosco Sodi. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 63,000.00 58% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bosco Sodi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2015 for USD 175,000.00 (€ 162,927.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rojo retondo von Bosco Sodi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 63.000,00 und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Bosco Sodi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2015 für USD 175.000,00 (€ 162.927,10) versteigert wurde.
