Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Boris Sveshnikov was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection auction at Sothebys in London in December 2021. The price achieved of GBP 40,320.00 (€ 48,093.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Boris Sveshnikov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Russian Love In Winter, Circa Early 1950S, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 181,000.00 (€ 116,264.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Boris Sveshnikov wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 40.320,00 (€ 48.093,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Boris Sveshnikov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Russian Love In Winter, Circa Early 1950S beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 181.000,00 (€ 116.264,13) versteigert wurde.
