Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Three costume designs for 1924 production of S. Ansky's play Tog un nakht ('Day and Night') two works: 54 x 40.8cm (21 1/4 x 16in); one: 49 x 36.5cm (19 1/4 x 14 1/4in). by Boris Aronson was sold in the The Russian Sale auction at Bonhams in London in December 2021. The price achieved of GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,562.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Boris Aronson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Four Set Designs For Company, which sold at auction in April 2015 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,917.94).
