Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2002 Christies in London held the auction Twentieth Century British Art, which included the work Brighton Beach, Late Afternoon by Bo Hilton. The price achieved of GBP 587.50 (€ 933.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bo Hilton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Daffodils, which sold at auction in March 2001 for GBP 1,645.00 (€ 2,654.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion Twentieth Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Brighton Beach, Late Afternoon von Bo Hilton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 587,50 (€ 933,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Bo Hilton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Daffodils beobachtet, die im März 2001 für GBP 1.645,00 (€ 2.654,37) versteigert wurde.
