The work Independence by Bita Fayyazi was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Arab,Iranian and Turkish Art Part II auction at Christies in Dubai in October 2013. The »bidding war« ended at USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,551.42), 50% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Independence the most expensive artwork by Bita Fayyazi that we have observed at auctions so far.
