Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Virgin and Child before a landscape |《風景前的聖母與聖嬰》 by Biagio d' Antonio was sold in the Old Masters Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2020. The price achieved of GBP 47,880.00 (€ 53,486.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Biagio d' Antonio have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Madonna and Child with the Infant Saint John in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 225,000.00 (€ 251,345.05).
