Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Betty Swanwick achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2011. In the Vintage Posters auction, the work To The Fields sold for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,858.19) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Admittedly, works by Betty Swanwick have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Flight of the Doves in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,992.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Betty Swanwick erzielte im Mai 2011 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Vintage Posters wurde die Arbeit To The Fields für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.858,19) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Betty Swanwick auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Flight of the Doves im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.992,23).
