Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Peaches in a basket by Betsy Westendorp-Osieck for EUR 420.00. This price was achieved in the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 700.00 – 900.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Betsy Westendorp-Osieck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Na het bal: after the ball in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 14,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Peaches in a basket von Betsy Westendorp-Osieck für EUR 420,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 700,00 – 900,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Betsy Westendorp-Osieck erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Na het bal: after the ball im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 14.400,00.
