Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study For The Funeral Monument To Jacqueline Schubart by Bertel Thorvaldsen was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2018. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,708.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bertel Thorvaldsen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Set Of Four Reliefs Of Cupid And Bacchus, Cupid Received By Anacreon, Pan Teaching A Child Satyr To Play Reed Pipe, Bacchante And Child Satyr in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 2,405,000.00 (€ 1,781,481.48).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Set Of Four Reliefs Of Cupid And Bacchus, Cupid Received By Anacreon, Pan Teaching A Child Satyr To Play Reed Pipe, Bacchante And Child Satyr im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.405.000,00 (€ 1.781.481,48).
