In December 2016 Christies in London held the auction Topographical Pictures, which included the work A waterfall on the Paquequer River, Rio de Janeiro by Bernhard Wiegandt. The result of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,922.91) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Other works by Bernhard Wiegandt have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2014 the work A View Of Rio De Janiero, Taken From The West was auctioned for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,564.62).
