Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Bernardus Johannes Blommers could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in February 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master and 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, including Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni auction, the work The Village Tailors changed hands for USD 3,125.00 (€ 2,389.33) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernardus Johannes Blommers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sorting the catch in October 2001 with an auction result of EUR 232,250.00.
In der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, including Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni wechselte die Arbeit The Village Tailors für USD 3.125,00 (€ 2.389,33) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00.
