Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Paddling at low tide, sunset by Bernardus Johannes Blommers was sold in the 19th Century and British Impressionist Art auction at Bonhams in London in October 2020. The price achieved of GBP 11,312.50 (€ 12,561.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernardus Johannes Blommers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sorting the catch in October 2001 with an auction result of EUR 232,250.00.
