Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Christ Supported By Two Angels by Bernardino Fungai was sold in the Master Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 60,480.00 (€ 51,927.53) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Bernardino Fungai have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2013 the work Christ Supported By Two Angels was auctioned for USD 74,500.00 (€ 54,843.93).
