Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 26,075.92), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Admittedly, works by Bernardino di Mariotto dello Stagno have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Virgin and Child, a landscape beyond with Saint Jerome and Saint John and a view of Venice, with a feigned bas-relief of putti at play in July last year with an auction result of GBP 214,200.00 (€ 255,792.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Visitation - panel from a predella von Bernardino di Mariotto dello Stagno kam im Juli 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 26.075,92) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bernardino di Mariotto dello Stagno auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Virgin and Child, a landscape beyond with Saint Jerome and Saint John and a view of Venice, with a feigned bas-relief of putti at play im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 214.200,00 (€ 255.792,84).
