The work Bataille by Bernard Quentin was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in February 2008. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,859.00 24% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bernard Quentin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition, 1951, which sold at auction in July 2010 for EUR 5,355.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Bataille von Bernard Quentin wurde im Februar 2008 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.859,00 und damit 24% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Bernard Quentin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composition, 1951 beobachtet, die im Juli 2010 für EUR 5.355,00 versteigert wurde.
