Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bataille by Bernard Quentin was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in December 2007. The price achieved of EUR 496.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 300.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard Quentin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition, 1951 in July 2010 with an auction result of EUR 5,355.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bataille von Bernard Quentin wurde im Dezember 2007 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 496,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 300,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernard Quentin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composition, 1951 im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.355,00.
