Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Bernard Karfiol could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art Online auction, the work Repose On Balcony changed hands for USD 2,800.00 (€ 2,470.88) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Other works by Bernard Karfiol have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2008 by the work The Dressing Room at USD 4,688.00 (€ 3,329.31).
